# Privacy Policy: Clarisu Understand App

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

## Information We Collect

Account Info:
When you sign in, we collect the information needed to create and manage your account.
All accounts are stored in Firebase Authentication.
If you sign up with email and password, we store your email address.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that service (and your profile picture if provided).
If you continue as a guest, we create a temporary anonymous ID that lets you use the app without providing personal information.
You can later upgrade a guest account by linking it to an email, Apple, or Google login.

Usage Data:
We collect the prompts you enter to generate episodes, episodes you create, clarifications you create, and the listening history.

Payment Info:
Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.
We never see your full credit card number as all payments are handled by Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Therefore, we do not store that information.
We do store your subscription status, the amount of credits you have, and the platform the payment was done from.

Analytics Data:
We collect basic information about how you use the app (e.g., features used, time spent, device type).

## How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the app's features.
We generate and store your private episodes.
We deliver personalized recommendations and improve AI generation quality of the episodes and clarifications.
We manage your account and subscription.
We track usage for analytics and fix bugs.
We communicate with you about updates, support, and changes to the app.

## Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data.
When an episode is created, data is processed by Google or OpenAI.
We may share limited information with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing).
We may share information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
If you choose to share an episode publicly, that episode will be accessible to others.

## Data Storage & Security

We store your data securely. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

## Your Choices

You can request a copy or deletion of your data or account by contacting us at jan@clarisu.com.
You can delete your account in the app.

## Children's Privacy

Clarisu Understand App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you in-app or by email before changes take effect.
